The British are currently allowed to drive in France with their driving license until 31.12.2021.

During this period, the European Union and the United Kingdom are trying to find a reciprocal agreement for the exchange of driving licenses.

Until this agreement is established, we will not be able to exchange British driving licenses.

Currently, only the Channel Islands have a reciprocity agreement with France (the list of reciprocity agreements can be found on the public service website).

Once the agreement is reached, we will be able to file applications for the exchange of driving licenses on the government's digital platform, ANTS.
