Beware, a Vitale card scam is very widespread at the moment. 

These are phishing attempts via emails or sms informing people who are waiting for affiliation or even already affiliated that their Vitale card is available. To receive it, you have to click on a link, fill in a form, and then pay 2 euros for a 48-hour delivery by Chronopost.

This kind of request does not correspond to the usual practice of the Social Security, which never asks for personal and banking data by email or sms, and even less for any payment.

Furthermore, the usual period for obtaining a Carte Vitale from the CPAM (by post or on the ameli account) is 3 weeks to 1 month, and the card is then sent by regular postal service.
